best essential oils for wrinkles

Age creeps up on you silently, right?. You’re carrying on quite happily doing life, then one day, you look into a mirror and see a face that is no longer young…

Forget about aging gracefully!! Fight it every step of the way. 🙂 (is my motto!)

But do it with the best essential oils for wrinkles.

Essential oils are an ancient beauty secret perfect for soothing away the appearance of spots and fine lines, the visible signs of aging. They are known as the concentrated “life force” of the plant because they penetrate your skin quickly to hydrate and restore a radiant-looking complexion.

Maybe you don’t realize that your skin is actually the largest organ of your body. It’s also the most vulnerable since it’s the organ most exposed to the elements so it can take an awful beating over time.

As you begin to grow older, suddenly all those years of abuse begin to become noticeable.

Over time, the skin loses the indispensable protein that keeps the skin looking fresh, vibrant and young… That protein is COLLAGEN!

Collagen Loss

With less collagen present in the skin’s second layer (the dermis), the skin can no longer keep its plump, youthful shape. It starts to sag, and sagging is further aided by gravity. The wrinkles may be fine at first, but with time they begin to deepen. It is at this point, unfortunately, that you’ll begin to see wrinkles forming.

What To Do?

Many women who experience this natural cycle of aging think about undergoing cosmetic surgery. But surgery is invasive and dangerous…

Any type of surgery carries a risk of infection and worse yet, you may look freaky and not at ALL like yourself and hate it!

An alternative to surgery… one that’s safer, less expensive and definitely won’t hurt as much… is to use essential for wrinkles. Or at least start by preventing wrinkles naturally.

Even if you decide to do something more aggressive or invasive in the future… These essential oils for wrinkles have the properties will help your skin look it’s best.

Is It Worth It?

When using these essential oils for wrinkles, it will speed things along if you don’t overload your system with toxins that the skin has to work hard to eliminate.

But you already know this right? Reduce alcohol (a real ager if ever there has been) coffee, tea, sweets, red meats, and all the things you already know will clog up your digestion and then your skin cells.

Here’s the thing… Why do we do this? Why do we do the things we know we shouldn’t do?

Maybe you’re saying to yourself… Is it worth it? Is taking the time for skin care really worth my time?

YES! It is worth it. If you can cut ten years from your appearance, you’ll feel ten years younger, have more energy, and even your outlook on life will be better.

  • Aging something that effects women and men of elderly age its part of the natural age process that allows for the body to truly show the wisdom gained over the years of your life.
The problem is no one like the fall-backs that come with aging from wrinkles to grey hair or even poor health conditions. Women especially spend 1000’s on expensive plastic surgery and laser treatments to try and lessen if not remove these drawbacks of age.
Personally I am still of a young age but I know many elderly community members that have literally spent there saving away on expensive unnecessary treatments.
Love this forward to every person who I think will benefit from it.

Good work and best of luck

  • I work at a spa here on Maui and i hear that word every single day. Essential oils. We use essential oils for many of our treatments and our guests could even custom blend their own mix of essential oils. My least favorite is lavender. For some reason it reminds me of a bad experience when i was younger.

    • Hi Lorenz,

Yes, well I guess you can blame your dislike of lavender (what a pity) to brain anatomy. Our sense of smell is directly connected to the amygdala and hippocampus, the part of the brain that handles memory and emotion.

  • I love reading your website and I am always looking for face products to help my skin! I have an uneven skin tone. Very dry in some spots and normal in others. If I purchased frankincense oil would I have to mix it with another oil or can I use it by itself on my Skin?

    Thank you
    Melissa

    • Hi Melissa,

You can use Frankincense alone, but you still need to dilute it with a carrier oil such as jojoba or Pomegranate oil.

  • Hi Jackie. I likeed your post, but only because I adore essential oils. I dont use them for anti-wrinke benfits but for mood and concetration. I use nutmeg oil for improved focus, cinnamon oil for a boost in creativity and my favourite, neroli oil for reaaxing. I like neroli so much I could swim in it. Is it true that frankincense oil(my second favourite) that comes from Brunnei is much superior that all other oils of this type? I read that somewhere.

    • I love Neroli too Nikola! Is there anything better than an orange blossom.

Yes almost all Frankincense is grown primarily in the Middle East, Northern Africa, and India.

  • I knew that oil has very positive impact on face skin, but I didn’t know there are too many of them that I can use on my face. I personally was using vitamin E in oil, but after reading your article, definitely willing to experiment. I just wonder, what is the best way to keep all the oils once I mixed them? Does it make any difference if I keep it in a fridge?

  • I really am thinking about getting this for my wife as I am a big fan of oils. I even use it as a perfume as it can release more natural body smell. I love how detailed you are with you review of each oil. I will definitely look into the oils you recommended. Thanks!

  • Essential oils are found from natural sources, that’s why it has so adverse effects. People who want to remove wrinkles, pimple, acne or any other skin spot, they can take help from essential oils.

Thank you for this long and very useful and informative post. Hope you will write more articles regarding skin care and essential oils.

    • Hi Joyce, If your skin is on the drier side, then go ahead and use this same formula for daytime use also. I do. I just put a thin layer on first thing and then let it absorb for a few minutes before applying makeup or other moisturizers. The magic is in the essential oils combined with jojoba and pomegranate oils.

  • Excellent article and recipe, something I’m going to try. Less expense on creams and syrums and more natural.
Any idea on recipes for itchy skin
    Thanks again

  • Among the essential oils that you have mentioned I’d like to try the rose oil.I think it is a good product and I like the fact that it can improve the texture and the tone of my skin. I hope it’s effective and I’m looking forward to it.

  • I am excited to try your recipe for wrinkles! I will take before and after photos once I begin the nighttime regimen. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge with us!
