about aparna khanolkar

As a mother of two children, I have worked as an Ayurdoula for seven years. Being interested in the various ways one can nourish and nurture others, I have taught Ayurvedic cooking for the past 17 years. “Food is medicine,” is an age-old Ayurvedic concept that is an important component of my work.

The highlight of my career was being the head chef of the Chopra Center for Well-Being in Carlsbad, CA. I have also worked for the Chopra Center as a menu consultant. In addition, I developed curriculum for the Ayurveda program at the Natural Epicurean Academy of Culinary Arts in Austin, TX.

I’m the author of “Nectar – Food For Yogis and Dancers,” “Happy Belly Happy Soul,” “Spice,” “A Mother’s Blessing,” – all available on www.amazon.com. Additionally, my short eBooks “Kitchen Tantra,” “Everyday Ayurveda,” and “Green Power,” “Healthy Holiday Sides,” “Winter Soups,” and “Purify and Heal,” are available on Kindle.

I am a registered Ayurvedic Lifestyle Counselor and a member of Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America. For information about Aparna’s online courses, visit: www.aparnakhanolkar.com/group-study/
