We all want smooth skin that glows with radiance and youth. And you already know there's a long list of anti-aging beauty products that promise to deliver. But, did you ever stop to notice that these cosmetic products are infused with food products? And that they’re usually the most expensive?

This makes you wonder if it wouldn’t be better to nourish your skin from the inside out. Here we share the top anti-aging foods so you have the key to aging gracefully.

Sticking to a healthy diet also helps fight off lifestyle diseases like Type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and joint pain. It can also prevent weight gain and decrease your risk of cancer.

“You are what you eat” – you have heard this phrase many times. That's because every cell in your body is made from the nutritional content of the food you eat.

  1. I didn’t realize I eat a lot of these foods already. However, it’s pretty hard to get my husband also to eat them because he’s not really into “healthy food.”

I also didn’t know you can use yogurt as a facial mask. I am definitely going to try it because I have some pretty bad blemishes from where I had acne.

This was very helpful. Thanks for sharing!

  2. I’m now advancing in age, so I’m definitely starting to think more and more about getting older and looking like I’m old. I guess none of us really want to look old, so I’m looking for ways to at least slow down the ageing appearance process at least.

It only makes sense that eating the right foods can play a major role in this, so I find your article very intriguing. Fortunately many of the food you have listed as having anti ageing properties are foods I love to eat, such as salmon and avocado, to name a few.

I’ll be saving your post as a reference for my eating habits.

    • Hi Darren, There’s a saying in Ayurveda that when you are out-of-balance you crave foods that keep you out-of-balance. And when you are in balance you crave the foods that keep you in balance.

If you love a lot of the foods mentioned here, you are doing well! 🙂 Thanks for commenting. I love hearing from you!

  3. This post is really interesting and helpful to me, i did not have a clue that so many vegetables helped so much in the anti aging process and foods that are rich in vitamin c.
Love the idea of the yoghurt face mask that sounds so refreshing for the face something i will try:)
